WHAT IS EPISODIC?




What is Episodic? Episodic is where we highlight specific episodes from podcasters. Particularly, we highlight episodes that are either informative, offers a voice or a new perspective that isn't quite popular.





While our society has made strides when it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community, there are still greater strides to be seen and heard. The Hey Girl Hey Podcast led by Lashawn Tipton, Gerri Tipton & Kiki Brown, were joined by a trans couple who discussed what life is like existing in a world that still somewhat exhibits a phobia when it comes to the LGBTQIA+ community. The topic of mental health and the importance thereof, amongst certain communities of color is still in it's infant stages. However, there are individuals who are from these communities who are boldly, and unapologetic-ally creating safe spaces to discuss and bring the topic of mental health to the forefront. Kierra, host of For Realness Sake podcast, brought in author Coco Roberts who shared her mental health journey. And, provided strategies in which she applied when dealing with suicide, and what she coined as the Triple D's, depression, divorce and domestic Violence.
